# Fix for querying DOIs with non-ASCII characters

[Today we released](https://gitlab.com/crossref/content_system/-/tags/v0.139.0) a fix for a bug that prevented users from querying for DOIs with diacritic marks.

This bug impacted 232 registered DOIs.

Now, DOIs with diacritics can be queried via the XML API, in both encoded and unencoded forms.
