In this post, we bring you an update to the REST API filters you can use. As of August 3 2026, you will be able to use `has-affiliation-ror-id` and `has-funder-ror-id` to return only works with ROR IDs in the affiliation or funding metadata, respectively. The `has-ror-id filter` is not going away, and you can still use it to retrieve ROR IDs in any part of the record.

Additionally, in the /members endpoint you will find additional fields describing the metadata coverage separately for `affiliation-ror-ids` or `funder-ror-ids`.

Selected fields from a member’s record that include ROR:

[ROR](https://ror.org/) assigns persistent identifiers to organisations, including funders. ROR is a community-led non-profit organisation supported by several organisations, including Crossref. Our members can include ROR identifiers in several parts of the schema, including author affiliation and funding metadata.
