# Unable to submit report: the DOI must be of a valid format

Hello,

I am trying to register a report via the web deposit form. The report DOI that I want to register is: [Do Governments Trust Communities? The Trust Flows Project Research Report — Centre for Resilient and Inclusive Societies](https://doi.org/10.56311/FZLZ2190)

When I go to submit the web deposit form, it shows me the message: ‘DOI must be of a valid format’ and so I am unable to submit the report.

I am a novice to doing this - can you please help me understand what may be going wrong and how to fix it?

I have gone back to previously registered reports and they seem to be working (they have the same prefix and a similiar (but different) suffix) so I’m not clear on what could be going wrong with this one. I also have other reports with a similar issue to this one.

Hi Isabel,

The format required is just the DOI alone (prefix/suffix), rather than the full DOI proxy URL ([https://doi.org/prefix/suffix](https://doi.org/prefix/suffix)).

So, if you submit the DOI like this: 10.56311/FZLZ2190

Instead of like this: [https://doi.org/10.56311/FZLZ2190](https://doi.org/10.56311/FZLZ2190)

That should take care of the problem.
