Hi everybody,
I am new with Crossref and would like to ask whether Crossref provide any metadata form showing the relation between two journals with one is predecessor/successor to each other? For example: The journal “Behavior Science Notes” (pISSN: 0005-7886) is predecessor of the journal “Cross-Cultural Research” (eISSN: 1552-3578; pISSN: 1069-3971)

Hello @HieuBVN ,
Thanks for your message. Technically speaking, a journal with a title change significant enough to warrant a new ISSN is considered a different journal by the ISSN Centre and our system. And, no, unfortunately, we don’t (yet) have a relationship at the journal level that can connect predecessor/successor journals to each other.
But, you can see records for each ISSN in our API:
“Behavior Science Notes” - https://api.crossref.org/journals/0005-7886/works
“Cross-Cultural Research” - https://api.crossref.org/journals/1552-3578/works
I wish I had a more satisfying answer,
Isaac
