Search by ORCiD - incomplete results

Dear all,

We are using crossref to update a publication list on a research group webpage - by searching for publications by members ORCiDs. That generally works beautifully, yet there are some ommissions that are hard to explain.

For example, this query only returns one publication:
https://api.crossref.org/works?filter=orcid:0000-0002-0964-7068

even though the ORCiD is included in other crossref entries, like this one:
https://api.crossref.org/works/10.1111/joop.12539

Is there any way to search for ORCiDs more comprehensively? Or what is the issue here?

Hello @lukasW ,

Thanks for your message. We currently have a bug that is preventing all metadata records from being returned when filtering by ORCID iD. We should be returning DOI 10.1111/joop.12539 in the query results for https://api.crossref.org/works?filter=orcid:0000-0002-0964-7068.

I have added this example to the internal ticket that our technical team is using to track this work.
