Thank you for the recap, Susan. The point attendees raised about language resonated strongly with us at Galoá. In feedback we collected at the event, and later during Luis’s editorial workflow session, the challenge of English-only documentation came up not as a matter of comfort but as a practical barrier to day-to-day editorial work.
That feedback fed directly into the audit tool we built at the Sprint: emailed reports are delivered in Brazilian Portuguese when the editor’s address ends in `.br`, English otherwise. It sounds small but removes one layer of friction before the editor even starts reviewing metadata gaps.
Thanks also to Roberta Takenaka from SciELO for the technical conversations during the Sprint week, including over lunch. Several of them shaped decisions in what we built. And to the FGV team for the venue and support.
