2026 public data file now available - Crossref

Once a year we release all metadata records for content registered with Crossref in a public data file. This year’s version, containing nearly 180 million records, is now available. It includes metadata associated with all Crossref-registered DOIs in JSON-lines format.

Hi, is there an ETA on the 2026 file becoming available in the api-snapshots-reqpays-crossref S3 bucket?

Hello @rash, thanks for posting. The file is available now, let us know if you have any problems accessing it.

Hello, and thank you for releasing this updated public data file. In the past I’ve downloaded all the previous ones using the available torrent. However, I added this new download to my torrent client at the beggining of the week, and after downloading up to 41% in a short time, it became stuck and has not continued downloading. I don’t know the cause, but this did not happen to me with previous data files.

Sorry about that. We’ll take a look, there might be an issue with the seeding.

@albertomartin We’ve managed to unblock it, you should be able to carry on the download. Apologies again for the inconvenience and thanks for letting us know.
