Hi,

I need a little guidance, SSBRJ’s second issue is ready. However, want to assign the DOI so how do we do that. If I can have some guidance or video to assist. Last time we did in March 2025 so It is a little while. Please guide through.

Regards,

Dr. Adnan ul Haque

Hello @adnan ,

Thanks for your message, and welcome to our Community Forum. I can see that back in March your submission https://doi.crossref.org/servlet/submissionAdmin?sf=detail&submissionID=1680415954 used our web deposit form. I am including step-by-step instructions for registering your journal articles using our web deposit form, like you did in March.

Your journal DOI is 10.63329/av3nz123. You should use that journal DOI again with these submissions.

My best,

Isaac

Registering your journal articles using the web deposit form
Broadly speaking, assuming you have recently published a new issue of your journal and you want to register DOIs for all articles in the issue, the steps to take to use the web deposit form are:

  1. Select the Journal data type
  2. Enter the Journal and Issue level metadata on the first page of the form. At minimum this includes: Journal title, abbreviated journal title, ISSN(s), and at least one publication year (print or online). If applicable, also enter issue number, volume number, and full publication dates.
[Journal DOI and Issue DOI are optional. If you don’t wish to deposit Journal-level and Issue-level DOIs, simply leave these fields as well as Journal URL and Issue URL empty. Keep in mind that, if you do deposit a Journal DOI, it refers to the journal as a whole, and therefore cannot change in future deposits]
  3. Select ‘Add Articles’
  4. On the second page of the form, enter the metadata for your first article (article title, authors, page numbers if available), the article DOI, and article URL
  5. Click ‘Add Another Article’
  6. Continue to enter article metadata, DOIs, and URLs until you’ve entered all articles for the given issue.
  7. Click ‘Finish’
  8. Enter your username and password and click Login
  9. Enter your email address and click ‘Deposit’

We also have a web deposit form video tutorial and full instructions for using the web deposit form in our documentation.

Hi,

Recently our team uploaded details for DOI and we noticed that one of the file name has error.
Impact of UK Beverage Industry Online Advertising on Consumer Perceptions: A Localized Strategic Approach

DOI: 10.63329/av3nz12323

We noticed that the uploaded details read instead of “Impact,” it reads “mpact. “I” is missing. Please if you can help us rectify this error. We are unable to resolve it..

Looking forward to your help and guidance.

Hi @adnan ,

Thanks for your message. In the future, can you please post your questions about content registration in a category that we’re actively monitoring: Content Registration - Crossref community forum . This area of the forum - the about description section of this category - does not actively alert us when a new message is posted.

To update or correct the metadata deposited for a DOI you will need to redeposit the DOI with the correct metadata included. Be sure to include all available metadata when redepositing, as the metadata recorded in our system will be overwritten by the new deposit.

It looks like you have figured that out!

DOI 10.63329/av3nz12323 was updated on 23-Mar-2026 at 16:42:04 UTC. The title is now correct, as you can see here: https://search.crossref.org/search/works?q=10.63329%2Fav3nz12323&from_ui=yes

Note: it can take up to 24 hours from the time that we process an update for that metadata record to be indexed and updated in our APIs, so you may have observed a lag from when you updated the title of this journal article to it appearing as updated at search.crossref.org and in our APIs.

Warm regards,

Isaac
