The long-standing issues in stability of the Event Data API are continuing and users are likely to experience reduced performance, especially for queries that do not include date filters. We do not currently have the resources to invest more in resolving these issues. We have conducted some research but haven’t managed to find and implement a solution that would lead to significant improvements.
Our priority for Event Data at the moment is improving the accurate delivery of data citations. More broadly, we are putting more resources into supporting and maintaining our primary REST API.
