DOAJ to add Crossref compatibility

Hello all,

Wanted to share this blog post from DOAJ who are going to start accepting Crossref XML (as well as their own DOAJ XML). More information is here, will update when a launch date is confirmed:

This should help members who have to format both XML formats save some work.

DOAJ has also started to accept ORCID iDs, which is great news if you’re collecting those (please do!)

Best,
Rachael

Dear all,

From 5th September, 2022, publishers supplying article metadata to DOAJ will be able to send Crossref 5.3.1 XML. This upgrade will go live between 4 and 6 pm BST / 5 and 7 pm CEST / 11 am and 1 pm ET on 5th September 2022.

Note that it will still be possible to send Crossref 4.4.2, as well as DOAJ XML. The three formats accepted will be:

DOAJ Native XML
Crossref 4.4.2 XML
Crossref 5.3.1 XML

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Thank you, Dom
