I did not work well (adding the papers, their authors, etc.) first time when registering the DOI of the proceedings so the proceeedings became well registered but without any individual papers registration linked to it.
Hello, and thanks for your question.
You can submit metadata deposits with the individual conference papers in batches, as necessary.
For each deposit, you will need to (re)enter the conference and proceedings metadata on the first page of the form. Then you can enter the metadata and DOI information for a new conference paper on the subsequent pages of the form.
The steps are as follows
- From the main Web Deposit Form page, select the Conference Proceedings data type
- Enter the Conference and Proceedings metadata on the first page of the form. At minimum this includes Conference title, Proceedings title, Publisher, ISBN, and at least one (print or online) publication year
- Select ‘Add Papers’
- On the second page of the form, enter the metadata for the first paper in the proceedings (paper title, authors, at least one publication date), and the paper’s DOI and URL
- Click ‘Add Another Paper’
- Continue to enter additional conference paper metadata, DOIs, and URLs until you’ve entered all the papers for the given proceedings, or as many as you wish to do in this batch
- Click ‘Finish’
- Enter your username and password and click Login
- Enter your email address and click ‘Deposit’
If you’re splitting up the paper deposits into batches (this is a good idea if you have many papers per proceedings), the next time you’re ready to submit an additional batch of papers for the same proceedings, you’ll repeat steps 1-3 exactly as you did them previously. Then, in step 4, you can begin with the next new conference paper you need to register. You don’t need to repeat any papers that you’ve already registered.
We also have a web deposit form video tutorial and full instructions for using the web deposit form in our documentation.
