The Crossref Preprint Advisory Group recently put forward some some recommendations about how to improve preprint metadata. We wanted them to be relatively brief and easily digestible, but there was also a lot of background discussions that we thought the community would benefit from. We’ve therefore put together a longer document including a lot more of the background to how the recommendations came about and areas that still need some more thought. You can now read it on MetaArXiv.
