Should I register a DOI for a translated executive summary?

My organization is publishing a paper, which will get a registered DOI. We will also be publishing a stand-alone French translation of the executive summary. We are wondering if it is best practice to also register a DOI for the stand-alone executive summary?

Yes, as the summary is a distinct citable work, it should get its own DOI.
