Unreachable Host behind DOI

Hello together,

I came a cross a DOI which redirects to an unreachable host:

  • DOI: 10.14257/ijseia.2013.7.5.36
  • Redirects to: www.sersc.org/journals/IJSEIA/vol7_no5_2013/36.pdf
  • Archived version of the paper: scholar.archive.org/work/43ddadbf-34cf-4b9a-839b-7bf63a9e8d25

As Crossref search finds the DOI, reporting it here at Crossref seems the most reasonable way to me.

I think the reason for the problem is that the journal of this paper seems to have its last publication in 2016:

What a good find! Thank you for taking the time to report this to us.

After some digging I found there are 762 other DOIs with this same server in their resolution URL that are also failing. I have sent this list to our technical contact at the publisher to update their URLs to a working location. I’ll update this post again when I hear back from the publisher that they have updated them.
