Hi Robbykha.
These videos are going to be very helpful. Thank you.
I had a few things to share.
A) The timing on a few of the slides could be tweaked:
-
I had a hard time reading all of the text on the slide titled ‘Enter the Article’s Metadata’ - page 8. There is just a lot of text on that slide. I could use another four to five seconds there.
-
Again, a lot of text on the ‘Best Practices for your Articles’ slide page 15. This one feels a little closer, but I could have used another second or two on this slide.
-
The text seems quite slow by comparison on the ‘Journal Identification’ slide page 23, especially the text right beneath the title. I think this slide could be shortened by two to four seconds to help with pacing.
-
The text on the ‘Submit Entry’ slide page 28 did not fully complete before the slide deck advances, so it is hard to read the final words ‘real time’. Maybe adding another second or two to this slide would help that slide complete before advancing.
-
It feels a bit jarring to go from having all of the text typed out for you on all slides and then not having that text fixed on the final three slides - ‘Error Message’ page 29, ‘Submission Complete’ page 30, and ‘Start New Submission’ page 31.
B) The slide ‘URLs or ORCID iDs’ page 21 has a typo in the title; the word ‘ORCID.’
C) The final slide ‘Thats it’ has a typo in the word ‘That’s’ - needs an apostrophe.
Finally, I do very much appreciate the inclusion of best practices and the why of the registration throughout the video. The best practices slide is great and the additional context about the value of specific metadata elements on things like discoverability (e.g., on the ‘Article Abstract’ slide - page 11) should be well received by members.
Thank you!
