I get a warning message on a time of DOI activation

Hello Team,

Today, i was creating a DOI that is 10.38124/ijisrt/25apr1148_1

It got accepted, approved and working but at activation time it shows a waring message. I was unable to take screenshot for that.

Actually, my previous DOI was 10.38124/ijisrt/25apr1148 so we want to change the Title for this DOI so we delete it and create new one with DOI 10.38124/ijisrt/25apr1148_1

Is there any issue. I am worry about it because it was showing warning.

Warning messages in our submission logs do not prevent the registration from processing successfully. So your DOI was successfully updated with this submission. Warnings are meant to flag a status related to the submission to you, the registrant. The two most common warnings are: 1) conflict creation as a result of the submission and 2) change of content (or, genre) type (e.g., a report paper has been updated to a conference paper).

In your submission, our system has flagged DOI 10.38124/ijisrt/25apr1148_1 as in conflict with DOI 10.38124/ijisrt/25apr1148. This means that the bibliographic metadata registered for these two DOIs is similar and we believe that the DOIs may be duplicates of one another. DOIs are citation identifiers, so we want you to review this potential duplicate DOI. Which DOI will you maintain for the content going forward?

Once you decide that, you can alias the DOI that will not be maintained to the one that will be maintained going forward. This allows us to match citations to that definitive DOI and will make it easier for researchers and metadata users to know which DOI is the definitive DOI that should be cited for this work.

Actually, my previous DOI was 10.38124/ijisrt/25apr1148 so we want to change the Title for this DOI so we delete it and create new one with DOI 10.38124/ijisrt/25apr1148_1

A note here for others reading this and for you for future reference: if you need to update the title of an existing DOI, you should not and need not register a completely new DOI for that work. It’s a contravention of our membership terms to knowingly register multiple DOIs for the same content item and makes it harder for us to link citations to your DOI. Not only that, but you’re going to pay us twice for that registration. Instead, you can always update the metadata registered with us. We never charge our members for metadata updates of existing DOIs. In the future, if you need to update a title or append the metadata record, use the same DOI and simply send us an update to the record.

Again, for future reference, to update or correct the metadata deposited for a DOI you will need to redeposit the DOI with the correct metadata included. Be sure to include all available metadata when redepositing, as the metadata recorded in our system will be overwritten by the new deposit.

If you are editing an XML file that has already been deposited, be sure to increment the value in the <timestamp> field. The number in the timestamp field needs to increase each time a DOI is updated.

Warm regards,
Isaac
