Need assistance with fixing typographical error

Hi,

Recently our team uploaded details for DOI and we noticed that one of the file name has error.
Impact of UK Beverage Industry Online Advertising on Consumer Perceptions: A Localized Strategic Approach

DOI: 10.63329/av3nz12323

We noticed that the uploaded details read instead of “Impact,” it reads “mpact. “I” is missing. Please if you can help us rectify this error. We are unable to resolve it..

ResearchGate stated that they cannot delete the file as it is on publisher end. We need help in rectifying the typographical error.

Looking forward to your help and guidance.

Regards,

Hi @adnan,

Great question. If you’d like to correct this error via the Web Deposit Form, simply resubmit all the metadata for this DOI, with the correctly spelled article title this time. Make sure that you enter the exact same DOI you previously registered (10.63329/av3nz12323) in the DOI field; you will want to be careful that you do not inadvertently register a second duplicate DOI for this article.

It may also be easier to correct the misspelling via our Metadata Manager. If you go to the Edit Record area of our Metadata Manager and log in with your depositor credentials, you can enter the DOI you wish to edit the metadata for:

From here, the metadata you previously submitted should appear within the text-entry fields. Find the article title, correct the spelling, and then proceed through the form to resubmit the DOI’s metadata record. This method should mean that you will not need to manually reenter all of the DOI’s metadata, unlike in the Web Deposit Form.

Let us know if this works for you, or if you have any other questions!

Hi

I need help with Volume 1, Issue 1.

please update the title record in Crossref to reflect the correct journal title:

Current title in record: Scientific Societal and Behavioral Research Center

Correct title: Scientific Societal & Behavioral Research Journal

Once the title record is updated, will I be able to add the ISSN (3080-2466) to my existing deposits without the mismatch error?

Please do guide me so I can add ISSN in it.

Please let me know once this is completed.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards, as always

Hi @adnan!

I assume you’re using the Metadata Manager to update your records? In this case, it looks like your older DOIs were submitted with a different journal title, Scientific Societal and Behavioral Research Center. To update this, you’ll need to access each DOI that was registered under this old title in the Metadata Manager.

  1. Go to Edit Record and find or search the relevant DOI.
  2. Navigate to the Journal page. You should see the old journal title and no ISSNs:
  3. From the Quick Selection dropdown, select the correct journal record. The correct journal details should prefill:
  4. Advance two pages and submit the metadata.
  5. Repeat for each DOI in volume 1(1).
Let me know if you have any trouble with this or if I can assist with anything else.
