Remodeling names and including statements in metadata - request for feedback

We are planning to update the modeling of names in our metadata to better capture both people and group/organization names. Our current structure is limited and forces names to be mislabeled or truncated. We also need to better capture variations in language or character sets.

We are also going to start requiring at least one contributor (can be anonymous) as we currently have no requirement in place for this.

The proposal below has been circulated within our Metadata Advisory Group and is now available for public comment. This is a big change so please let us know what you think!

We’re also planning to support statements in our metadata, ‘statements’ being the text from funding, acknowledgements, AI usage, accessibility, and other statements. This is a new addition to our metadata. Feedback/comments welcome on this as well:
