We deployed an update on July 17th for our Crossref XML submission code to include in the crossmark data, assertion elements for when a paper was received on as well as copyright data. Here is an example:
This validates against your XML validator and submissions appear fine. I waited 24 hours but am not seeing this data show in the Crossmark dialog. Should I see this data show up in the Crossmark modal when I click on the Check for Updates button?
I can see that we’ve had five successful submissions in the last two days attempting to update that Crossmark metadata for DOI 10.1103/37kh-kc81. And, you’re right, the metadata has not yet been indexed in the REST API. It should be. That process normally takes 24 hours maximum. We’ve had other indexing lags around and because of our recent AWS migration. I have added this detail on the ticket we’re using to track this work. You can review it here: https://crossref.atlassian.net/browse/CR-2340?focusedCommentId=25475.
Several of us will be meeting about this first thing Monday. I hope the re-index will kick in well before that. Like I said, your submissions should have triggered a reindex.
